Four free effects plugins Final Cut Pro and Motion.

Peter Wiggins, maker of the VolumetriX plugin, has released a pack of four free plugins for Final Cut Pro and Motion. The pack was developed using the the FxFactory Pro plug-in manager from Noise Industries.

Aimed at non-developers, FxFactory Pro provides a GUI-driven platform for generating new Final Cut Studio effects.

These include:

- Multispace: Puts two inputs into true 3D space, with global and independent XYZ translation and rotation. The two planes can also intersect.

- iSight Live: Add a live input to your timeline in either Motion or FCP. Noise Industries recommends using this one to pick a color off a client's brochure.

- Rack Focus: Racks the blur from one input to the second input with one parameter. Both blur values for each of the inputs can be set independently.

- Opposites: Adds two-input parameter linking, meaning if one is moved left, the other goes right. If one is rotated clockwise, the other rotates counterclockwise.

Using the plugins is a three step process: run the free FxFactory installer; download the freebie pack and restart the application.
